It's been a year since you've been gone and still my heart cries out for you.
Sometimes you can hide a lot behind a smile but you could never fool me.
It was all in your music which at times seems like you were talking to me directly.
Nonetheless it was your pain and your inescapable demons that help you reach millions.
These demons can't no longer hold you hostage so fly free my angel.
Be at peace and pain free like heroin only without the addiction.

On July 20, 2017 Chester Bennington took his life and ended his pain forever. If only we knew so that we could've taken it all away.
